Protein Lab
Questions
1) Peptide bond is found between the amino acids in the primary structure.2) In the secondary structure polar peptide is formed between the amino acid, which causes the chain to twist.
3) It is due to the interactions between R groups, convalent bonds, it bonds, repulsion. It depends on primary structure in the a.a sequence. My protein would look different than everyone else because of the different letters.
4) Two or more polypeptides stick together.
5) Yes the shape structure would change if I changed the primary structure because there would be different amino acids meaning different interactions and different types of bonds.\

What were you surprised by?
What was the most amazing part?

I'm really surprised by how they are just lifting the part of cancer / colon right out it is really weird to look at because they just lift it and place it on a tray. That they actually have the women cut open for so long and they surgery was a success was amazing , also when they pump CO2 into the body to inflate the part they were cutting. In class I learnt that the colon is part of the large intestine. The part when they used a stapler and how they were cutting inside. That you should get checked up so you don't lose your life.

Sprains, Strains, and Fractures

The ankle is where three bones meet -- the tibia and fibula of your lower leg with the talus of your foot. These bones are held together at the ankle joint by ligaments, which are strong elastic bands of connective tissue that keep the bones in place while allowing normal ankle motion. A fracture describes a break in one or more of the bones. A sprain is the term that describes damage to ligaments when they are stretched beyond their normal range of motion.A strain refers to damage to muscles and tendons as a result of being pulled or stretched too far.
I chose ankle injures because i have fractured my ankle and since i play many sports i sprain my ankle a lot. I consider myself to have week ankles.

Respiratory Lab !
The test tubes with the lime water. The left has a straw to breath in the right side has a air pressure tube that will put oxygen in to the lime water.
The test tube that had a air tube putting air didn't change and stayed neutral but were some bubbles. The left test tube with the straw changed color because it had contact with co2.
Both small beakers are full of 25ml of distilled water however, one beaker will be air pressured while the other will breathe into the water in the other beaker for five minutes. After those five minutes one must add one drop of universal indactor to both beakers.
The beaker on the left came in contact with carbon dioxide and it changed color from white to yellow due to the universal indicator however, this proves that it has become more acidic in PH level. While, the beaker on right was areated and it changed color from white to green which proves that it is still neutral
